This project included additions and alterations to the existing CVTC L.E. Phillips building to accommodate the progressive needs of the CVTC Nursing and Dental Programs, while providing new space for the University of Wisconsin Health Clinic. The design intent was to integrate these three entities to allow shared use of space and equipment as well as provide a working clinic environment for those aspiring to enter the medical field. Dedicated UW Health Clinic spaces include exam and procedure rooms, nurse stations, administrative and business offices, intern offices with resource areas, and specialized lab spaces. Dedicated CVTC spaces include nursing labs, anatomy and physiology labs, multimedia presentation spaces, a working dental clinic, and administrative offices. Areas shared with UW Health Clinic include ultrasound, radiology, mock operating rooms, and lab spaces.
Marquette Dental and CVTC provide the surrounding communities with dental care for the under privledged and uninsured. There are 12 hygiene bays and 5 procedure bays with a separate treatment bay for instruction that is associated with a lecture area. Other spaces include lab, sterilization, image production, offices, reception and scheduling, and a separate waiting area.
